Congratulations on your Scholarship/Grant award from Seaside Scholarships!
Instructions on requesting fund for each type of award below:
STEPS FOR REQUESTING SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FUNDS:
WHEN?
As soon as you have signed up for your classes at your secondary institution
HOW?
Go to financial aid office.
Request your official class schedule AND the name and address of
a contact person in the financial aid office where your scholarship check will be sent.
All of this information needs to then be emailed OR text to
Barbara Knop (treasurer for Seaside Scholarships).

GOING TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND YOU RECEIVED THE OREGON PROMISE
The scholarships you received from Seaside Scholarship will be sent to the Community College upon request. It will be placed in an account there and used for college expenses that aren’t covered by the Oregon Promise.
If at the end of your time at the Community College you have unused scholarship funds you need to inform the financial office where you are planning to continue your formal education and the funds will follow you there.
If you have unused funds and do not plan on furthering your formal education, the unused funds will be returned to Seaside Scholarships to be used for future scholarships for graduating seniors.
IMPORTANT DATE!!!!
May 1, 2024 is the deadline for requesting your scholarship money (that was awarded in 2023).
After that date all unrequested funds will be redistributed for future scholarship winners.

WHEN?
After completing one term of secondary school/college
HOW?
Go to financial aid office.
Request your official class schedule AND the name and address of
a contact person in the financial aid office where your scholarship check will be sent.
