Kaylee Snyder founded the Oregon Coast Soccer Club (OCSC) in 2021 as her Pacifica Project, partnering with fellow SHS student Caleigh Peterson to host a youth soccer camp during a time when local families especially needed safe and fun summer activities. The camp quickly became a meaningful space for kids to learn skills, build confidence, and connect with others.
Since then, Kaylee has mentored younger SHS students so the program could continue each summer. In 2023 she mentored Jasmine Schermerhorn, and in 2024 she mentored Layla Varozza – both of whom ran the camp as their own Pacifica Projects. Most recently, in 2025, Kaylee mentored three current seniors – Lilli Miller, Kylie Keranen, and Bella Atwi – who led another successful camp season.
OCSC’s mission is simple: to give local kids a safe, positive place to play soccer, make friends, and have fun. Growing up in Cannon Beach, Kaylee knew opportunities like this were limited on the Coast, and she’s passionate about helping build something lasting for future families and young athletes. OCSC continues to grow as a community tradition, connecting students and strengthening the North Coast year after year.
